If you suspect that a child is being harmed, reporting your suspicions may protect the child and obtain help for the family.
The Child act 2001
Any medical officer or medical practitioner, childcare provider or member of the family must notify his / her concerns, suspicions or beliefs that a child may have been abused or neglected to the appropriate child protection authority in the country. Failure to do so can result in criminal charges. Call the 24-hour hotline – 15999 if you suspect a child is being harmed. Prepare to provide the following information:

Or if you choose to you may remain anonymous. POLICE You may also lodge a report on child abuse or suspected abuse at the nearest police station regardless of whether the incident occurred within or outside the jurisdiction of that police station. If you are using a mobile phone, call 112 or 999, and if you are using a fixed line, call 999 and ask for the police.
